On April 25th, 2015, a massive earthquake hit Nepal, turning life upside down for millions of individuals. Over 600,000 structures were destroyed, 22,000 people were injured, and around 9,000 people took their last breath. Although we like to believe that something that happened over 2 years ago is in the past, the people of Nepal are living through the repercussions right now. With 35,000 classrooms destroyed in the disaster, the children of Nepal lost their access to education, one of the most important parts of a childhood. Today, children still have to commute far to the few schools that have been rebuilt, causing an inability for some kids to receive an education.
