On April 25, 2015 an earthquake hit Nepal. Not only were houses and buildings shattered, but also the lives of thousands of people living there. They were left homeless and their lives were completely turned upside down. The children lost their abilities to receive an education and everything that was like home to them. Our mission is to contribute to the building of a recreational buildings such as schools, libraries, and computer labs in the remote village of Gorkha, Nepal where children are forced to walk miles and miles for the opportunity to receive an education. Here in the U.S., we are fortunate to live the lives we do. We attend school and are given many educational opportunities. What are our lives really worth if we aren't able to reach out and help those in need? A Night for Nepal paves the road for us to do so.
